PDF Files sent as email attachments

Downloads are sent as email attachments - in the same way as some text or picture files may be attached to emails. These downloads come as files with a .pdf suffix.

The article(s) you have purchased should appear the next time you retrieve your emails online.

You will probably already have on your computer the Adobe Reader (formerly Acrobat reader) software necessary to open oldhouse.info’s pdf files (version 5.0 or later). If this software was not supplied with your computer you can download it (usually free) from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Articles will arrive as a .pdf attachment to separate emails if you have bought more than one.

If you want to try out downloading a pdf file from us before buying an article then the title Old houses deal with damp by 'breathing' is available free from this site (click link on our home page).

If you experience problems opening an article received as a pdf file it may be because your email security settings are adjusted to prevent your opening any attachments with emails, this can happen for example if you have recently updated your browser,  the settings (eg in Outlook Express) can be re-set.

The downloads are formatted to print onto both A4 or US letter paper. Please remember that for copyright reasons a downloaded article may only be opened on the computer which first receives it.
